*Test carried out on 52 consumers in one hiking use without deodorant. The average duration of use before the emergence of perspiration odours judged to be unpleasant by the testers is 6.3 days based on 5 hours a day of hiking.

Protection against UV rays: UPF 50+

The UPF index (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) corresponds to tests carried out on fabric by a spectrophotometer. A UPF 50+ rating means that the fabric only lets 1/50th of UV rays through. This is one of the best available protection ratings against the sun’s rays.

Wool is breathable

The wool easily traps the insulating warm air and can absorb up to 35% of its weight in moisture without making you feel damp (exothermic absorption), which is appreciated in cool weather. In hot, dry weather, the evaporation of the water in the wool absorbs energy, which cools the body slightly at the same time.

This wool is pleasant to wear

We use 52% extremely fine Merino wool. With barely 17.5 micron (a micron=a thousandth of a millimetre), the wool fibres are so fine that they are well below the limit beyond which human skin itches.
What’s more, we have combined these wool fibres with 34% Lyocell fibres that are extremely soft to the touch.

No mulesing guaranteed wool

For this product, we only use wool from Merino sheep raised on farms in South Africa that do not practice mulesing. We decided to build a partnership with a group of breeders (Konsortium Merino) to guarantee respect for animal welfare and the environment. This means we have full traceability, which allows us to guarantee the origin of the wool. More information on the Forclaz website.

Washing instructions

Although this t-shirt has been designed with a synthetic fibre blend to increase its durability, we recommend you machine wash your t-shirt at 30° on a normal cycle, and if possible in a protective bag. It should be dried flat and not by machine to avoid shrinkage.
